What are G25 Coordinates?

The Eurogenes Global 25 (G25 coordinates) admixture test is a highly advanced and accurate test available on the non-commercial market. This test uses a 25-dimensional principal component analysis (PCA) of your raw DNA data to provide:

  • Highly detailed ancestry breakdown
  • Identification of specific population clusters
  • Detection of small admixture amounts
  • Advanced ancestry modeling capabilities

Analysis Levels

Genome-wide Analysis

Comprehensive view of your overall genetic makeup and population comparisons

Chromosomal Analysis

Detailed examination of genetic markers at individual chromosome level

G25 Studio Integration

G25 Studio Interface

Access the powerful G25 Studio tool to analyze your coordinates and:

  • Visualize your position on genetic maps
  • Compare with world populations
  • Model your ancestry using optimization algorithms
  • Generate detailed reports and visualizations

Technical Information

What is the difference between Scaled and Unscaled G25 coordinates?

The original data from the PCA are called "unscaled" coordinates. We can adjust these numbers to make some parts more important, based on their significance (Eigen value). This process is called scaling and it makes some tasks easier by reducing the impact of less important parts. However, these less important parts can still be useful for telling different groups apart, like Siberians from Amerindians or different African populations. So, it's important to use the right method for the specific task.

Data Requirements

Compatible with raw DNA data from major testing companies including 23andMe, AncestryDNA, and MyHeritage. Minimum requirement of 100,000 autosomal SNPs for accurate analysis.
