Iberia gathered forager, farmer, Beaker, Iron Age, Roman, and Andalusi layers in turn.
Your Similarity Snapshot
Your strongest similarity is to Roman & Medieval reference samples (58.3/100). The ring shows each period's relative weight. Scores measure similarity on a 0 to 100 scale and are not percentages of your ancestry.

Heritage groups
Periods grouped into broader heritage layers. Each layer's score combines the similarity scores of the periods it contains, so layers are compared with each other rather than read as shares of your ancestry.

How to read these results
What the index measures. The index combines three independent comparisons between your DNA and ancient Iberian reference samples: shared DNA segments (50%), Admixture distance (31.25%) and a Monte Carlo reference-mixture fit (18.75%). It measures genetic similarity to reference data, not a proven family tree or a percentage of your ancestry.
Comparing reports. Each regional report scores you against its own reference panel, and panels differ in size, time depth and diversity. A higher index in one report than in another does not mean you have more ancestry from that region, so compare the matches and periods within each report rather than index values across reports.
What a match means. A match is an ancient individual whose DNA is statistically similar to yours. Shared segments and shared haplogroup branches indicate population-level connections. They do not identify a specific ancestor.
Why periods do not add up to 100. Each period score is weighted by how well the regional reference mix fits your DNA, so the values show relative affinity on a 0 to 100 scale rather than shares of your genome.
