Summary of the research findings

The burial cave site of La Cave Coupe-Gorge, located in Montmaur (Aude, France), was discovered in 1994. It consists of two chambers that were used for collective burials during the Late Neolithic period. The anthropological study revealed the presence of at least 15 individuals, including adults and immature individuals. Ancient DNA analyses were carried out on a sample of 11 individuals
